About the role
This is an excellent entry-level role for someone who is organised, eager to learn and enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. You’ll receive full training to develop your skills in parts identification, customer service, stock control, and stores operations.
You’ll work closely with experienced parts advisors, workshop technicians, and suppliers, gaining hands-on experience across all areas of a busy dealership parts department.
Parts Sales & Customer Support
- Assisting customers at the counter, over the phone and online
- Helping identify and supply the correct parts for machinery
- Supporting sales activity, promotions, and telesales campaigns
- Learning how to upsell and advise customers confidently
Systems, Orders & Administration
- Using electronic parts systems to identify part numbers
- Booking parts onto internal job cards for technicians
- Processing orders, invoices, and stock transfers
- Learning how to place supplier orders accurately
Stock Control & Stores
- Receiving and checking incoming deliveries
- Storing and organising stock correctly
- Picking, packing, and dispatching orders, including web orders
- Supporting stock takes and maintaining accurate stock control
Housekeeping & Compliance
- Keeping the parts and stores area clean, safe, and organised
- Following company procedures for stock handling and health & safety
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need previous parts experience — just the right attitude and willingness to learn. However, the following would be beneficial:
- Interest in machinery, automotive, plant, agricultural or similar industries
- Confidence using computers and online systems
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence essential
- Forklift licence is an advantage (training can be provided)
