Balmers GM Ltd - one of the UK’s leading grounds care machinery specialists are expanding our Burnley branch and launching a dedicated Arboriculture Department.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Arboriculture Specialist to help grow this exciting new division. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with ARB experience or woodchipper knowledge (especially Timberwolf) who wants a long-term career with progression into technical support, demonstrations, sales, and potentially a full-time Area Sales Manager role.
As our Arboriculture Specialist, you will:
- Carry out mobile and workshop-based servicing and repairs (focussed primarily on Timberwolf woodchippers & complimentary ARB machinery)
- Support the growth of a new ARB business unit within Balmers GM
- Provide on-site technical support for customers
- Have opportunities to expand into demo work, hybrid roles, or ARB sales as the department evolves
- Represent Balmers GM with professionalism and a customer-first attitude
This is a newly created role offering genuine development and the chance to influence the growth of a brand new department.
What we offer:
- Location: Balmers GM Ltd, Manchester Road, Dunnockshaw, Burnley, BB11 5PF
- Service van provided
- Salary: £16.00 - £19.00 per hour + overtime + bonuses
- Hours: 40 hours per week (flexible start/finish times available)
- Overtime paid at time and a half after 42 hours
- Flexible working hours (eg: 7am - 4pm optional)
- Paid travel time when starting / finishing at home during on-site jobs
- Full technical training (including Timberwolf manufacturer training)
- Weekly or monthly wage payment (your choice)
- Efficiency bonus: potential to earn an additional bonus each month if targets are met

Requirements:
- Relevant ARB / mechanical experience preferred (plant, agriculture & groundscare is also suitable)
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Willingness to work occasional early mornings, evenings, weekends or bank holidays when required
- Strong customer service and problem-solving attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider technical team
