We all know accidents happen. Some accidents can be more costly than others, especially when it comes to groundcare and plant machinery.

An an active member of Hire Association Europe (HAE), we now offer HAE's HireSecure Loss & Damage Waiver product for all the groundcare machinery that we hire.

This product will be required for customers who do not have their own insurance or for those customers whose insurance does not cover the value of the machinery being hired. 


What is HireSecure Loss & Damage Waiver?

HireSecure Loss & Damage Waiver is a product that we can offer you, designed specifically for the hiring of groundcare machinery, tools and equipment. In short, it covers you against damages and theft of machinery whilst on hire to you.

What does HireSecure Cover?

  • Accidental loss or damage anywhere in the UK, including whilst in transit
  • Fraudulent hires, theft, vandalism / malicious damage
  • Owned & cross-hired equipment
  • Cover provided up to £100,000 any one claim. No single article limit

What is a loss & damage waiver?

When you, the Customer arranges a hire, you are required to arrange insurance cover for the duration of the rental term. If you do not have your own insurance cover, you have the option of selecting the HireSecure Loss & Damage Waiver at an additional cost.

By selecting the waiver, you the customer agree to an alternation to the Terms & Conditions of Hire, which effectively removes most of the terms through which we would pursue you, the Customer, for recovery following loss or damage to the equipment that we have hired to you.

HireSecure is not an insurance product the you, the Customer, purchases - but a contractual arangement which removes your responsibility in the event of loss or damage to the hired equipment.

What does it cost?

The cost to you, the Customer is minimal and it provides you with the confidence that it will cover the full value of the hired equipment, removing any worry of whether your own business insurance is sufficient, or whether it actually covers hired equipment? 

HireSecure is simple, 15% of the base hire cost (+vat).

For example, if the cost of hiring a 6" wood chipper for a day came to £100, HireSecure would cost £15 (+vat).

Excess Charges

In the event of a claim being made, you will be subject to the following excess charges:

£1,001 – £2,000 £75
£2,001 – £2,500 £100
£2,501 – £5,000 £250
£5,001 plus £500

How do I get covered?

Information we require:

If you have decided that HireSecure is suited to your needs and would like to take out advantage of this product, you will need to provide us with the following:

  • Your full name
  • Contact details (telephone, address, email etc..)
  • Site address
  • 1 x photo identification (e.g. driving license or passport)
  • 2 x proof of address (e.g. bank statements, utility bills)

A photo-card driving license can be used as one of the two proofs of address as well as the photo identification.

What we do with this information

The information we collect from you is stored according to our privacy policy. We only pass on your information to the insurers for the purpose of validating the policy.
